Ursula moved from Germany to Italy in 1936. She speaks about the period up until the 1938 when she as a Jewish child, unlike in Germany, could go to school and about the years from '38 to '43 when her family was deprived of all their possessions and sent to prisons and restricted areas in Italy. With much affection she speaks about the nuns and the priests who helped her get the education even though it was prohibitied.
